Yes, Justin’s grandfather & grandmother travelled for the wedding from South Korea.

Mum & I took on the majority of the planning but our Port Douglas contact was the ever helpful & super friendly Chris Morgan of Port Douglas Catering & Events.

WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE ON TROPICAL NORTH QUEENSLAND FOR YOUR DREAM WEDDING?
We wanted something different from the run of the mill Sydney wedding extending the good vibes a wedding brings for more than one day and a destination wedding in Port Douglas was our first and only choice. We holidayed there a few years back and fell in love with its beauty and easy going feel and because of this it seemed perfect for our guests.. They were delighted to escape Sydney’s winter chill!
WHAT IS ONE OF YOUR FONDEST MEMORIES OF YOUR SPECIAL DAY?
Justin surprising me and our guests by singing “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” by Frankie Valli. He was backed up by his brother/groomsmen playing guitar.
Also - Walking into the reception within Bali Hai’s Bamboo Grove; it was like stepping into fairy-tale.
HONEYMOON LOCATION?
5 nights at Bali Hai, Mossman then New York and San Francisco.
WHAT ATTRACTIONS/TOURS DID YOU DO WHILE IN TNQ?
We suggested key attractions through our wedding website so all guests could research & organise their own choice of activities before they left.
On the night before the wedding we held a sunset Mix n’ Mingle party on the Sugar Wharf introducing everybody to each other and Port Douglas complete with cane toad races & a photo booth. On the Monday after the wedding we organised an optional reef trip to Low Isles on the Wave Dancer.
WOULD YOU HAVE DONE ANYTHING DIFFERENTLY?
Not a thing.. Port Douglas and our sources/suppliers really turned on the magic for not only us but our family and friends.
