We are you from?
I was born in Ballarat Victoria and Kane was born in Manly, NSW. We now reside in Cairns.
Specific Theme:
No real theme, colours were black and white for the wedding party.
What made you decide on Tropical North Queensland?
We live in Cairns and Port Douglas has always been our own little place to escape too on special occasions. We love the trying out all the different restaurants and the Sunday Markets.
Honeymoon location:
We spent the week prior to our wedding in Brisbane and decided we both wanted to get a tattoo instead of having a honeymoon.
Would you have done anything differently?
Nope, I don't think we would have done anything differently. However we were lucky that the rain held out til after the wedding photos because we did not have a backup plan for when it rained. As soon as we had the photos done it started pouring.
Starting out the day having my hair and make-up done by the ladies at Mermaid’s Wave was so much fun and so relaxing, I felt spoilt and pampered! The food and service for our reception at Watergate restaurant was absolutely amazing. And our accommodation at Hibiscus Resort & Spa was amazing and quiet – it didn’t seem so commercialised so it made it feel so much more special or us. It was a beautiful stay.
