We both live and have grown up in Penrith / Emu Plains NSW at the base of the Blue Mountains. Having never organised a wedding before, the thought of planning one from over 3,000 kms seemed very daunting. Once we did decide on Silky Oaks after a quick overnight trip, everything fell into place.

Scott and I are both from North Queensland and love Townsville's variety of locations that were able to use on our wedding day. Our ceremony was held in the Rose Garden, which created a formal and elegant feel to the ceremony. We were able to travel to a range of locations for photos in a short distance which provided us with photos of tropical back grounds, and a beautiful sun set over the tropical ocean and marina.

We live in Brisbane currently however both grew up on the Atherton Tablelands. We decided to go back closer to home and have our wedding up north under a beautiful waterfall at the Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas.
